School of Computing (SOC) is highly committed to supporting its students, especially those from low-income families, by launching the Food Bank. The program intends to help students and ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed academically on campus. The Food Bank Corner is located in front of the DKG4/2 and contains light breakfast such as bread, biscuits and nasi lemak on weekdays of the lecture period. By offering a food bank corner, SOC aims to help students stay healthy and focused on their studies, even in the face of financial hardship.

SOC receives support from Finexus Group, which contributed to the Food Bank fund. Mr Lee Keng San, Finexus’s Product Director and Mrs Vivian Ng Siew Yin, the CEO Management Office Manager, visited UUM and officiated the Food Bank Programme. Finexus is a diversified technology financial services company in Titiwangsa Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. SOC and Finexus plan for more strategic collaboration, especially in talent development, research and innovation.
