School of Computing (SOC), UUM, has organized a master class on Green Software Engineering for four days from 4 September until 7 September 2022 through Cisco Webex. Dr Roberto Vergallo from the University of Salento, Italy, conducted the class with a special industry appearance; Ms Paola Annis works for Microsoft and is a member of the Green Software Foundation. The purpose of the class was to expose students to the software development aspects that lead to minimal carbon emissions to the environment. Approximately 30 students enrolled in the class, with 70% postgraduate students from UUM and the rest from the University of Salento, Italy. It was a valuable experience for students from both universities to meet in class and share the same topic of interest.
