In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, acquiring essential digital skills is paramount, even for the youngest members of our society. Recognizing this need, a transformative event titled "Transformasi Digital Dalam Kalangan Anak-Anak Perkim "recently took place in collaboration with Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM). The event involved 45 PERKIM youths and aimed to impart crucial ICT knowledge, equipping them with tools for success in the digital age.
This knowledge-sharing initiative spanned over five engaging sessions from 1st August to 2nd November 2023. Spearheaded by the dedicated team at the IASDO lab, these sessions covered various topics, including Microsoft Office, Canva, Filmora, and website building. Targeting students from primary to high school levels, the event sought to bridge the digital divide by providing valuable insights into the world of information and communication technology.
The heart of the event lay in the passionate IASDO members who served as both educators and facilitators. Left an indelible mark by guiding and mentoring the young participants throughout the sessions.
Knowledge sharing wasn't limited to theoretical lessons alone. The program incorporated hands-on activities to ensure that the children grasped these vital skills effectively. These activities engaged the participants actively and enhanced their understanding of ICT concepts. It was a true blend of theory and practice, making learning fun and informative.
As the knowledge-sharing sessions came to a close, the IASDO facilitators arranged a special treat for the young participants. They were given an exclusive tour of UUM's impressive facilities. This served as a reward for their active participation and an inspiring glimpse into the possibilities that await them in their educational journey.
In retrospect, the "Transformasi Digital Dalam Kalangan Anak-Anak PERKIM" event was an undeniable success. The participating children left with newfound digital skills, ready to implement them in their academic pursuits and beyond. The tireless efforts of the IASDO team, under the leadership of Dr. Hapini and Dr. Suhaili, made this initiative a resounding success.
In conclusion, this event is a testament to the transformative power of knowledge sharing and digital education. We empower youth to thrive in an increasingly digital world by equipping them with essential digital skills. As these young minds continue to grow and innovate, they carry with them the knowledge and inspiration gained from events like these, paving the way for a brighter, more digitally proficient future.
