CLOSING CEREMONY MARKS SUCCESSFUL ICT EXPLORATION PROGRAM

04th December 2023 - The Closing Ceremony of an extensive ICT Exploration Program with PERKIM Alor Setar students witnessed a collaborative effort between TM Kedah Perlis, Institute for Advanced and Smart Digital Opportunities (IASDO), School of Computing, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM) Alor Setar, Kedah. The event, graced by prominent figures and representatives, celebrated the program's accomplishments and highlighted the impact of this joint initiative. The esteemed attendees included PERKIM children alongside distinguished figures such as YBhg Dato' Wira Mansor Haji Ismail, Chairman of PERKIM Kedah State, and Datin Hajah Aishah bt Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of PERKIM. Also present were Hj. Turedy bin Haji Abdullah, PERKIM's Secretary, Mr. Yusof bin Omar, Chief Manager of State Regulatory & Engagement at TM Kedah & Perlis, and Datin Noridah Bachik, the Public Relations Office Manager. Representing UUM, notable figures included Associate Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Fadli bin Zulkifli, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs & Alumni School of Computing, Dr. Hapini Awang, Director of IASDO, and Gs. Dr. Nur Suhaili Mansor, Deputy Director of IASDO, alongside Prof. Dr. Huda Haji Ibrahim, a member of the board of governance IASDO.

The ceremony featured significant activities, including the generous laptop donation from TM to PERKIM, symbolizing a commitment to empowering educational pursuits. Tokens were also presented to UUM and TM, acknowledging their pivotal roles in the program's success. Most notably, the event culminated in the distribution certificates to the program participants, recognizing their dedication and achievements throughout the ICT exploration endeavor. The collaborative efforts between these esteemed organizations and the enthusiastic participation of the students underscored the importance of fostering technological exploration and education, setting a promising precedent for future initiatives aimed at empowering communities through ICT advancements.
